Position: Senior Member of technical staff
Location: Guangzhou
Job responsibility
Responsible for providing technical and product application support for wireless products sold by Connect Device BU into APAC.
Resolves all technical support and product application issues within appropriate timeframes, either remotely or on customer site if necessary.
May be called on to provide occasional applications support to pre-sales opportunities
Carries out Installation and Basic User Training plans.
Ensures accurate salesforce record keeping of applications/support issues in supported region.
Helps to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
rovides suggestions to Wireless Segments regarding product usability, supportability, and methodology
Good working initiate, communication skills and team work spirit.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Extensive travel throughout APAC region.
Education/ Experience
BSEE degree or equivalent required; MSEE highly desirable.
At least 5 years’ development or testing or supporting experience in Mobile Communication field.
Thorough knowledge of wireless technology, both RF and protocol.
Familiar with mobile communication standards: 3GPP, 3GPP2.
Familiar software programming and instrument API control knowledge.
Familiar with fading knowledge.
Familiar with acceptance test of operators.
